Women’s rights activists and members of civil society on Tuesday (April 14, 2026) said the Women’s Reservation Act should be implemented immediately in the current strength of Parliament and should not be used as a “smoke screen” for delimitation.
Civil society members and transparency activists have expressed concern over the “opaque and non-consultative” manner in which the government is tabling bills on women’s reservation and delimitation in the upcoming session of Parliament.
