Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Tamil Nadu to intensify outreach to women voters, asking them to hold small, targeted meetings and assure them of security, law and order ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
Addressing party leaders and workers through a virtual interaction, Mr Modi said women’s concerns – particularly in the areas of safety, drug abuse and access to welfare – must be addressed at the grassroots level. He urged the cadres to organize dedicated meetings with women, form local groups and involve them in door-to-door campaigns.
