The Agra police have arrested a 40-year-old woman in connection with the murder of her husband, whose body was found buried under the washroom tiles of their house.
The news comes as the nation is still gripped by the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal by Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary.
The body of 45-year-old Surendra Sharma was discovered by police after they dug up the bathroom floor of the house where he lived with his wife in Renuka Dham Colony, which falls under Skinadra police station limits.

A neighbor told the police that the couple often argued and that Sharma, a native of Bharatpur, had been living in the area for about nine years.
He also said that neighbors would ask Ruby about her husband’s whereabouts after he went missing, but she kept avoiding the questions.
Anil Sharma, Surendra’s brother, said his frequent drinking led to arguments with Ruby and that she was the one who informed the family after his brother went missing, India Today reported. Ruby was also the one who filed the missing complaint in the first place.
The body has been sent for an autopsy, the publication said, adding that evidence from the house was collected by a forensics team.
Ketan Agarwal murder case update
Meanwhile, a Pune court on Friday sent Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhury to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the alleged murder of real estate agent Ketan Agarwal.
The court rejected the police’s request to extend the custody of the duo. A number of witnesses who were at the spot on the day of the alleged murder have now come forward to provide information, a senior police official said, according to PTI.

The prosecution informed the court that the police conducted a panchnama (inspection of the crime scene) at the place where Goyal allegedly disposed of Agarwal’s passport while traveling to Mumbai.
“Investigators also conducted a panchnama at the spot where Goyal and Chaudhary were allegedly rehearsing how to kill Agarwal,” Assistant Public Prosecutor Rajashree Virkud said.
“Data from previously seized phones has already been retrieved and investigators have received forensic expert testimony. The recovered chats contain coded language, including nicknames and emoticons, the meaning of which can only be explained by the accused,” she said.
