Delhi CM Rekha Gupta withdraws WFH, staggered office timings as ‘geopolitical’ tensions in West Asia ease | Today’s news

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday ordered the withdrawal of work-from-home (WFH) measures and laid out the timing for government offices. With regard to the normalization of the geopolitical situation and the restoration of oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, the provincial government decided to cancel the austerity measures that were introduced in May to reduce fuel consumption.

The Chief Minister’s Office in Delhi said: “Now that the geopolitical situation has practically normalized, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved the withdrawal of work from home on Wednesday and Saturday. The order will be issued today.”

Global energy shortages have widened since the outbreak of the US-Iran war on February 28. To deal with the energy crisis situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the country’s citizens to support economic resilience amid global uncertainties linked to the conflict in West Asia.
