Conservative commentator Alex Jones has launched a scathing attack on US President Donald Trump, signaling a sharp turn in their relationship.
“I’m going after Trump with scorched earth to get him back on track. The only way to do that is to go after him brutally,” Alex Jones said on his podcast.
He further escalated with a direct warning: “If you think I came after you… say one more thing… then I’ll show you how a cow ate cabbage.”
Calls for action on the 25th Amendment
Jones went a step further when he proposed that Trump be removed from office under the 25th Amendment.
He claimed the president was “unable to carry out the powers and duties of his office” and called for his impeachment in a significant escalation of rhetoric.
“Don’t worry”: Jones powers up the offense
In a series of combative remarks, Jones made it clear that he would continue to attack Trump.
“I’m not worried about you or your entire system,” he said, adding that he would “politically throw you down a reactor shaft in two seconds.”
Jones, who hosts “The Alex Jones Show,” indicated that his criticism will continue unless Trump reverses course.
Trump sparks row with “loser” remark.
The clash was triggered after Trump called out Jones and other right-wing figures in a social media post.
“They’re losers just trying to hang on to MAGA,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, adding that Jones says “the dumbest things.”
Trump is targeting conservative votes because of Iran’s stance
Trump has also criticized prominent figures including Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson.
The criticism comes after they accused Trump of being too allied with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and questioned his stance on the conflict with Iran.
