The right-hander reached the milestone at the age of 26 years and 216 days during the Gujarat Titans IPL 2026 match against Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, April 12 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Gill broke the long-standing record held by Virat Kohli, who reached the milestone in 2016 at 27 years and 195 days. Kohli created the record when he played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in Bengaluru. The record now belongs to Gill, who has been a prolific run-scorer in the IPL so far.
