A case has been registered against a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus driver for allegedly assaulting an elderly passenger and kicking him out of the vehicle in Vattapara, police said on Saturday. Police have registered a case against a driver from Peroorkada KSRTC depot for assaulting Bhadran, 65, a native of Kallayam in Vattappara.
Officials at Vattappara police station said the incident took place around 9.45 pm on Thursday in a KSRTC bus from East Fort to Kuttiyani. When Bhadran questioned the bus staff about not stopping at the stop where he intended to get off, the driver allegedly verbally abused him, police said.
