Six BLOs suspended for negligence in revision of voter list

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has suspended six Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for alleged negligence in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls. The lawsuit follows a finding that officials failed to perform their duties properly and violated the provisions of Section 32 of the Representation of the People Act 1950.

Suvarna and V. Venkata Sai Sharan from Bheemili Assembly constituency, MD Shahid and B. Lakshmi Niharika from Visakhapatnam South and Chittiboyina Gangajalam and Chepala Ramanjaneyulu from Visakhapatnam East.

The Collector warned that carelessness, violation of rules and dereliction of duty in the process of revising the voter list will not be tolerated.
