The state witnessed yet another organ donation from a deceased donor on Thursday (April 9, 2026) as the family of Jai Jayakumar, a 35-year-old IT professional in Technopark who was declared brain dead while undergoing treatment at a hospital here, decided to donate his organs to save the lives of several others.
Six organs, including a heart, a liver, two kidneys and both corneas, were harvested for transplant with other end-stage organ failure on transplant waiting lists.
