Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) on Thursday said it handled 59.22 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo in the financial year (FY) 2025-26, recording an eight percent increase in throughput over the previous year. It claims to have recorded the highest monthly volume of 5.85 MMT in June 2025, since the inception of the port.
“The port has handled as many as 1,071 vessels and a record cargo of 59.22 MMT with a customer-centric approach, operational excellence, infrastructural strength, technology adoption and seamless coordination. It has also diversified its cargo by adding new vessels such as laterite, soda ash, phosphate and yellow pea,” the company said in a press release.
