Polling for the Bagalkot and Davanagere South Assembly constituencies in Karnataka on April 9 went largely smoothly. The exception is two booths in Bagalkot Assembly constituency, which witnessed a delay of several minutes.
At booth number 322, Hanumanth Rao Joshi complained that his vote was cast by someone else. Election officials discovered that when his son came to cast his vote, an official had mistakenly checked off his name. Once this was confirmed, the senior was allowed to vote.
