Woman found dead in Hyderabad Langar Houz hotel room

A 26-year-old woman was found dead at a hotel in Hyderabad’s Langar Houz area on Friday (July 3, 2026).

The deceased was identified as Renuka, a dancer at Kings and Queens, Kukatpally and a resident of Bolaram.

According to Langar Houza police inspector B. Venkat Ramulu, Renuka checked into the V Grand Hotel with a friend identified as Arif on Thursday night. The couple ordered food and later Arif left the room for a while to run some errands. When he returned, he found her dead.

Police also said she made a video call to her friend around midnight saying it was her birthday the next day and she had a surprise for her. Later Renuka ended her life.

Investigation revealed that Renuka was married eight years ago and has a seven-year-old son but was living separately from her husband. Arif is also married with three children.

After receiving the information, the Langar Houz police reached the spot and took the body for post-mortem. Arif has been detained and is currently being questioned as part of the investigation. A case has been registered and investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death.
