“When will Vaibhav Sooryavanshi be released?” – AB de Villiers disagrees with India coach’s approach

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (Photo X) Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s much-anticipated India debut has divided the cricketing fraternity, with former players debating whether the teenage prodigy is being held back by the team management. Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers has now joined the conversation, backing the young batsman while also disagreeing with India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate’s stance.“He (Sooryavanshi) is absolutely ready to play international cricket; there’s no doubt about that. But also Sanju Samson is the guy who helped us win the World Cup three months ago,” India assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said.“He’s had a pretty good IPL and it’s important to give confidence to the players and send a message to the players that we want to give the guys in the team a long way. We’re all excited to see Vaibhav play but he has to go through the same process. There’s absolutely no doubt about how good he is,” he added. However, AB de Villiers disagrees with this approach.“When will he be released? I thought the Ireland series was the perfect opportunity for him to come and experience international cricket. It was unfortunate that he never got the opportunity. I disagree with Ryan the Doeschate that Sooryavanshi has to go through this process like any other player. After the IPL he had, it was time to get him into a deep experience, especially against a lower-ranked team in Ireland like Deilli. on his YouTube channel.Sanju Samson’s struggles in three consecutive innings further boosted Sooryavanshi’s chances of a debut. Earlier, cricket legends including Ravi Shastri, Michael Vaughan and Alastair Cook also said that Sooryavanshi was set to make his debut in the two T20I series against Ireland. On the other side of the debate are Cheteshwar Pujara and Saba Karim, who believe Sooryavanshi’s inclusion should not come at the expense of a proven performer. After a disappointing 2-0 series defeat to Afghanistan, India are still looking for a turnaround as they continue their tour of England.

Do you agree with AB de Villiers that Sooryavanshi should have played earlier?
