
Police on NTR’s mandate launched ‘Drugs Pai Dandayatra 2.0’ (Drive Against Drugs 2.0) to prevent smuggling and sale of drugs and ganja.
District Collector NTR G. Lakshmisha, Commissioner SV Rajashekar Babu, Municipal Commissioner Vijayawada Dhyanachandra HM, District Medical Officer and Health Officer Dr. Sudha Rani, Deputy Director of Drug Control Authority Sriram Murthy, Deputy Commissioners of Police launched the 30-day program at Vambay Colony on Monday.
Earlier, EAGLE and police organized a 34-day anti-drug program at NTR police station.
During the “Drugs Pai Dandayatra 2.0 programme”, suspects will be screened using 3,000 drug testing kits at 149 identified hot spots and those who have tested positive will be given treatment at de-addiction centres, the police commissioner said.
