Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Chairman V Balakista Reddy and Secretary Sriram Venkatesh on Monday called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to apprise him about the initiatives taken and the status of universities.
Mr. Reddy explained that major actions include revising the syllabus in line with current academic and industry requirements, introducing interdisciplinary courses and working with industry partners and institutions to support academic and skill development.
The briefing also covered the challenges faced by universities, especially in the area of faculty recruitment, infrastructure constraints and the prevailing academic and administrative situation.
It was informed that Mr. Shukla proposed to convene a meeting with the Vice-Chancellors of all state universities to discuss development strategies and address new challenges.
