Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari visited Nandikotkur and Panyam Assembly constituencies on Monday to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development works funded by her MPLADS allocation.
Mrs. Shabari started the tour by inaugurating the newly constructed CC roads in Tartur at Jupadu Bungalow mandal village. These roads were laid by spending ₹55 lakh of NREGS funds. In the village, the MP visited the local government school and interacted with the students to know the problems faced by them. Since the school building was in a bad condition, Ms. Shabari called District Educational Officer Janardhan Reddy over phone and asked him to sort out the problem. She also assured the people that she would approve new buildings for the two anganwadi centers in the village. Ms. Shabari had darshan at the famous Sri Ranganadha Swamy temple in the village where she was given a traditional welcome on her arrival.
At Vadala village in Pamulapad mandal, Ms. Shabari inaugurated a mineral water factory set up at a cost of ₹ 5 lakh from her MPLADS funds. The local TDP leaders brought to her notice the need for construction of bridges on the KC canal as well as culverts which were damaged to ensure that the entire ayacut gets irrigation water. Ms. Shabari replied in the affirmative and made sure to look into the issues they raised.
At Pedda Gummadapuram village in Nallamala forest area of Kottapalli mandal, Ms. Shabari inaugurated a water filtration facility that was constructed at a cost of ₹5 lakh. Addressing the villagers, the MP said she had received sanctions and installed a factory to provide clean drinking water to people living near the forest. She took representation from people and made sure to address their grievances.
