
Tension prevailed in West Godavari district’s Akiveedu Mandal on Sunday after miscreants launched a ‘fake’ online campaign claiming that some individuals were calling for ‘Chalo Akiveedu’.
In response to the campaign, at least 500 policemen have been deployed in Pedda Peta and across Akiveedu Mandal in the wake of the ongoing conflict over the renovation of the Ram Mandir in Pedda Peta.
Confirming that the campaign was fake, Bhimavaram Deputy Superintendent of Police Raghuveer Vishnu said, “We have come to know that Chalo Akiveedu was not called by any individual.

The police have reportedly tracked down the miscreants who ran a fake campaign on Chalo Akiveedu.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman R. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju announced on Sunday evening that donations are being accepted from donors for the renovation of the Ram Mandir.
