Two more bodies were recovered from an irrigation canal near Pichuka Lanka in Atreyapuram Mandal of Dr. District on Sunday. BR Ambedkar Konaseema. This happened after the police fished out a body from the canal on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Sk. Sulani Ahmad, 22, and Mohammad Arfad, 19.
On April 4, three persons, Sk. Bilal, 29, Ahmad and Afrad drowned in an irrigation canal after they got into the canal to bathe. Police recovered Bilal’s body on Saturday. They all belong to Rajamahendravaram.
Ravulapalem Rural Circle Inspector Ch. Vidhya Sagar said the bodies of the two persons were handed over to the police on Sunday.
