“Last season was tough,” Bishnoi said during the post-match presentation. “But I tried to stick to my routines. I had one weakness, if my length was wrong, I got hit for fours and sixes. That’s what I was trying to do. I’ve been playing all domestic season and working on improving my lengths. Hitting my lengths made it difficult for the batsmen, when I was too full, I got hit today.”

WHAT HAPPENED TO BISHNOI IN LSG?
Bishnoi’s resurgence comes after a noticeable slump during his tenure with Lucknow Super Giants. While previously a consistent performer, including a 16-goal season in 2023, his form dipped over the next two years.
He managed just 10 wickets in 14 matches in IPL 2024, while 2025 proved even more difficult, with just nine wickets in 11 matches at an average of 44.55 and an economy rate of 10.83, his toughest season in the league.
During his time at LSG, Bishnoi took 48 wickets in 53 innings, but rising economy rates and inconsistency led to his release ahead of the 2026 auction, where Rajasthan secured him for Rs 7.20 crore.
