Chennai Mathematical Institute and ThinkMath Foundation sign MoU to improve quality of mathematics education

Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) recently signed an MoU with ThinkMath Foundation (TMF), a non-profit initiative to spread mathematics education through non-conventional ways among students, educators, parents and the general public.
Madhavan Mukund, Principal; KV Subrahmanyam, Dean of Studies; and CMI faculty members Vidya Shankar Chakravarthy and TMF members attended the event held on Tuesday. According to the report, the main objective of the memorandum of understanding is to improve the mathematical competence of school students by increasing the effectiveness of teaching in schools.
The TMF will also contribute to the Mathematics Resource Center being set up at CMI’s new campus in Siruser where students can experience various aspects of mathematics in a tangible way, the release added.
