K. Ranjith, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate in Dharmadam, claimed on Saturday (April 4) that there was an agreement between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan in Dharmadam and Peravur constituencies.
Addressing the media in Kannur, Mr. Ranjith alleged that the election contest in Dharmadam was essentially between the Left Democratic Front and the NDA and alleged that the United Democratic Front candidate’s campaign was nominal.
He further alleged that crores were spent on the Chief Minister’s campaign in Dharmadam and demanded that the expenditure be verified by the Election Commission.
The NDA, he said, will file a formal complaint seeking an audit of the campaign expenses.
