The day’s maximum temperature in Telangana crossed the 41°C mark on Friday (April 3, 2026). The highest of 41.4°C was recorded in Madugulapally of Nalgonda, followed by 41.3°C in Cherla of Bhadradri Kothagudem and 41.0°C in Konijerle of Khammam.
District-wise data recorded by the Telangana Development Planning Society between Friday and Saturday morning (8:30 am) shows 40°C or more was recorded in 14 districts.
Urban areas
Maximum temperatures in urban areas were below 40 °C, with 39.8 °C in Rangareddy, 38.5 °C in Hyderabad 38.3 °C in Medchal Malkajgiri.

No change for three days
People may continue to experience high temperatures as the India Meteorological Department – Hyderabad center on Friday predicted no major change in maximum temperatures for the next three days.

Very light rain in two mandals
Although thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds were predicted as very likely in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts on Friday, “very light” (0.3 to 2.4 mm) rain was recorded in only two mandals.
Apart from seven districts, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jangaon and Siddipet are also forecast to witness thundershowers on Saturday.
