The BJP challenges the state government. hand over the case of misappropriation of funds to the CBI

BJP leader Ameen Reddy Patil Yalagi has urged the state government to hand over the multi-crore embezzlement case registered at Shahapur police station to the CBI for detailed investigation.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Yalagi said a case related to misappropriation of multi-crore funds in Matoshri Hemareddy Mallamma Souharda Sahakara Sangha was registered at the Shahapur police station on the complaint of its long-time president Basanagouda Venkatarayagouda Malipatila.

The police have handed over the case to the CID as the embezzled amount is over ₹7 crore.

Meanwhile, the complainant, Mr. Malipatil, was found dead at his residence in Shahapur on June 30 after he was subjected to constant pressure and was forced to face false allegations by depositors and bankers and there was also a failed settlement in the presence of elders, Mr. Yalagi explained.

He said Mr. Malipatil left a note and also a video in which he narrated the entire episode.

He suspected that influential people might be involved in the embezzlement of funds. So the state government should hand over the case to CBI for thorough investigation to reveal the truth and help hundreds of depositors get justice.

Mr. Yalagi targeted MLA Sharanabasappa Darshanapur for not resolving the issue to protect the interests of the people. If Mr. Darshanapur had intervened, Mr. Malipatil would not have taken the extreme step.

He urged the police to make Mr. Malipati’s report public.

Following the June 30 incident, Mr. Malipatil’s son filed a complaint at the Shahapur police station in connection with his father’s death. The police registered the case and started an investigation.

BJP district president Basavaraj Veebhutihalli, Rajshekhar Gugal, Parashuram Kurkundi, Guru Kama, Tirupathi and others were present.
