
Samajwadi Party MP from Uttar Pradesh, Dharmendra Yadav, says the entire country is listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words, adding that the Indian Prime Minister’s popularity is declining as the value of the rupee falls significantly.
Mr. Yadav asks when will India surpass foreign countries in terms of the value of the rupee.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says the popularity of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is above all world leaders in a global survey conducted two months ago.
Mr. Sitharaman says, “You should listen when a question is being answered” as opposition MPs raise slogans against her speech.
He adds that “India’s economy is very strong.” He says that India has been maintaining a good fiscal deficit for the last five years.
He adds that India’s foreign exchange reserve is very solid as the rupee’s growth is going very well.
