“Battery imports into India, mainly cells and packs, have not yet seen appreciable disruption due to sulfur supply concerns. However, indirect dependence on battery materials will be affected by higher costs and longer delivery times, which are likely to be reflected in 1-2 months as current stocks run out,” said a spokesman for the India Energy Storage Alliance, an industry lobby group that has battery makers such as Rajara Mobility and Amara as members.
