A class 8 student died on the spot after he was hit by a car while returning home from school after writing his annual examination on Saturday.
Chiranth Gowda, 15, son of Radhakrishna of Kamasumdra, studied at Halekote Government High School in Holenarasipur.
He used to go to school by KSRTC bus every day. He returned by bus to Kamasamudra, where he lived with his family, around 11.30 am on Saturday. While he was crossing the Hassan-Mysuru road to reach his house, he was hit by a car coming from Hassan. He is survived by his parents and sister.
His father filed a complaint.
