The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) was awarded the SKOCH 2025 National Award for its ‘Transparent Recruitment and Training Programme’ at a ceremony held in New Delhi on 28 March.
The award recognizes KSRTC’s efforts to ensure transparency and uniformity in the recruitment process by minimizing human intervention, KSRTC said. The company has implemented a technology-based system that includes automated driving tests, online exams, digital document verification, webcasting and automatically generated scorecards.
“Through this scheme, KSRTC has successfully recruited around 2,000 drivers and conductors, 300 technical staff and 441 candidates on compassionate grounds. The initiative is aimed at removing irregularities and increasing accountability in recruitment,” the official said.
“Apart from recruitment reforms, the company has focused on capacity building. Over the past six months, more than 12,000 employees have undergone structured training programs that have helped improve organizational performance and service delivery,” the official added.
Established by the SKOCH Group, the SKOCH Awards recognize excellence in governance, technology adoption, transparency and institutional growth based on measurable results.
