What role can RWAs and institutions play in pollution prevention?

Each Residents’ Care Association (RWA), housing association, government and private institution, contractor, agency and all organizations will be responsible for ensuring that open burning does not occur on their premises. If an open burning accident occurs due to negligence or lack of supervision on the part of any institution, action will be taken against the institution as well as the responsible individuals under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution Act, 1981 and other applicable laws. Environmental compensations will also be enforced. Drone-based surveillance will also be used to detect such incidents, especially at night. However, experts said effective implementation will depend.
