Abhishek Sharma left frustrated after a mix-up with Ishan Kishan India suffered an early setback in the first T20I against England after Ishan Kishan was run out after a big mix-up with opening partner Abhishek Sharma. The dismissal came just two balls into Kishan’s innings, adding to his woes after he was also out in India’s previous T20I against Ireland. Chasing a quick single, Kishan took off after nudging the ball to mid-wicket, but Abhishek, after seeing the ball caught by Harry Brook, opted against the run. The decision was referred to the third umpire and Abhishek’s frustration was clearly visible during the replay review. During their brief exchange, Abhishek was heard asking Kishan, “Tu pahuncha ki nahin pahuncha, kya kar raha hai yaar Ishan? (Did you make it or not? What are you doing, yaar, Ishan?)” Watch:Kishan’s desperate dive back to the crease was not enough as England completed the run out and India struggled after losing Sanja Samson and Kishan in the first two overs.Despite the initial confusion, Abhishek Sharma bounced back brilliantly as he smashed 59 runs off just 24 balls, including six fours and four sixes. He shared an important partnership of 82 runs with skipper Shreyas Iyer who anchored the innings with 68 off 47 deliveries. Abhishek also became the fastest player in T20I history to complete 100 sixes in terms of balls faced.Shivam Dube’s late unbeaten 42 off 21 balls helped India post a competitive total of 189/7 in 20 overs, while England pacer Saqib Mahmood impressed with figures of 3/33.
