Telangana BJP leaders – party president N. Ramchander Rao, union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar and legislature party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy – expressed shock over the bus accident in Markapur, Andhra Pradesh, in which 13 people were killed and 22 injured on Thursday.
In separate statements released to the media, party leaders noted that the bus started its journey from Nirmal in Telangana and appealed to the AP government to provide all necessary medical assistance to the injured and condoled with the bereaved families. While ex gratia was announced to the victims, they urged both the Telugu state governments to take steps to prevent such accidents in future.
