Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the 74th edition of BN Mullick All India Police Football Championship 2025-2026 at Gachibowli Stadium on Wednesday 25 March 2026, emphasizing the crucial role of sports in strengthening the police personnel both physically and mentally.
Addressing the gathering, the governor said sport is not merely recreational but forms the “lifeblood” of effective policing, promoting discipline, teamwork and resilience. He noted that these qualities are necessary for police personnel to meet the rigors of their duties.
