Amid the ongoing crisis in West Asia, there is reassurance. Off the Odisha coast, the Paradip port sits amid four tankers carrying over 7 million barrels of oil, more than India’s average daily consumption.

As the two ships unload oil at Paradip Port, which will continue till Thursday evening, a medium-sized vessel carrying 3,296 metric tonnes will be docked at Paradip till Thursday evening (March 26, 2026).
According to Paradip Port sources, the San Ramon Voyage carrying 2,63,530 metric tonnes of crude oil from Angola and Nigeria, both members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, has commenced unloading at the Single Point Mooring and is expected to complete the unloading by Thursday evening (March 25, 2026).
Similarly, Phoenix, an oil tanker carrying 99,016 MT, which was recently berthed at Paradip, started offloading on Wednesday (March 25, 2026). The vessel departed from Nakhodka Anchorage in the Russian Far East.
Another tanker, Alexandros, is currently in the Bay of Bengal and is scheduled to dock at Paradip Port on Thursday (March 26, 2026) at 11 am. The vessel is carrying 2.53 lakh MT of crude oil and departed from Forcados Terminal in Nigeria on 23 March 2026.
Meanwhile, the Almi Titan, carrying 3.296 lakh metric tonnes of crude oil, is expected to dock at the Paradip port around 10 pm on Thursday (March 26, 2026). The tanker started its voyage from Panama in South America.
