The ninth annual Mint India Investment Summit & Awards begins today in Mumbai.
During the two-day event, stalwarts like M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Financial Services, Government of India, Sivasubramanian Ramann, Chairman, PFRDA, former Managing Director of HDFC Bank, Aditya Puri and M. Damodaran, former Chairman, Sebi and currently Chairman, Excellence Enablers Private Limited, will lead the panel of keynote speakers at the event.
Under the theme “Reimagining investments in a post-tariff world”, the event will bring together a range of speakers from politicians, global investors, traders, lawyers and business leaders.
With rising trade barriers, redrawing of supply chains and more selective capital, the environment presents both opportunity and challenge: how to attract, deploy and expand investment in a world where global flows are increasingly strategic rather than purely economic.
Meeting next-generation business leaders like Parth Jindal, Aryaman Birla and Jay Kotak will focus on how they are reshaping and transforming their respective legacy businesses to grow in the modern era.

M&A experts like Ashish Jhaveri of Jefferies, Devarajan Nambakam of Goldman Sachs and Alok Malpani of Emirates NBD Capital India will explore the changing M&A landscape in India, especially in the context of large deals.
Meanwhile, leaders from HDFC Capital Advisors and Brookfield will discuss the returns, risks and exit paths for investors in Indian real estate, while the next session on the opportunities and risks posed by the real estate premium is debated by leaders from JSA Advocates & Solicitors, Raymond Realty and Knowledge Realty Trust (REIT).
At a time of increased geopolitical flux, the economy will also be in the spotlight. Axis Bank’s Neelkanth Mishra will outline how India can sustain growth in an era of global fragmentation, setting the macro context for the discussions that follow.
Another key meeting of economists will bring together Ben Powell of the BlackRock Investment Institute and Ashima Goyal of the Indira Gandhi Institute for Development Research to explore how India can navigate growth, capital and risk amid a fragmented global economy.
Apart from macro and dealmaking, the summit will also focus on the evolving architecture of India’s capital markets and financial ecosystem.

With the growing importance of domestic capital funds, PFRDA’s Ramann is expected to outline how pension sector reforms could help release long-term funds for the economy. As global capital becomes more volatile and selective, deepening domestic institutional capital is seen as a critical lever to sustain investment.
Public markets are also undergoing change. A panel featuring corporate executives and investment bankers from Orkla, Kotak Investment Banking and Equirus Capital will explore the growing interest of MNCs in listing their Indian arms and highlight the country’s growing status as a destination for raising capital and discovering value.
At the other end of the spectrum, the role of retail investors continues to expand. With speakers from Grip Invest, HSBC, Avendus and Ambit Asset Management, two sessions on the democratization of wealth and the rise of new investment platforms will explore how individual participation is reshaping market dynamics and expanding access to asset classes that were once the preserve of institutions.
Private equity remains a key area of focus. Investors from leading firms such as TPG Growth, EQT, Bain Capital and ChrysCapital will discuss how value creation strategies are evolving in a competitive environment where rapid acquisitions and operational improvements are becoming increasingly important to deliver returns.
Other key sessions include one on manufacturing innovation, featuring speakers from Sael Industries, Borosil Renewables and Anupam Rasayan.
New age sectors and business models will also find space in the interviews. From artificial intelligence to digital consumer brands, the presenters will consider what constitutes a scalable and sustainable investment opportunity in relatively untested areas and how investors should assess risk in such spaces.

Likewise, the summit does not shy away from addressing the structural enablers of investment. Discussions on dispute resolution, contract enforcement and legal frameworks – featuring legal experts from JSA, L&T, Wockhardt, Tata Steel and Marico – will demonstrate the importance of institutional strength in raising and retaining capital.
Meanwhile, actor-entrepreneur Rakulpreet Singh will talk about how she turned discipline, fitness and personality into a business venture.
The role of the financial sector in supporting growth will also be in focus, with a session on non-banking finance companies (NBFCs), increasingly seen as critical in bridging credit gaps and supporting emerging segments of the economy, with speakers from Muthoot Fincorp and Northern Arc Capital.
Highlights of the program will include interviews with M. Nagaraju, M. Damodaran and Aditya Puri, bringing policy and practitioner perspectives.
The summit will culminate with the 2026 Mint India Investment Awards, which will see contestants compete in eight categories. The top award categories are Company of the Year, Salesperson of the Year and Lifetime Achievement, along with five other categories including private equity, venture capital and M&A.
