Ajith Reddy takes charge as AMD from HMRL

Invest Telangana Managing Director B. Ajith Reddy on Wednesday took charge as the Additional Managing Director of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. Mr. Reddy was Special Secretary to CM till his transfer as CEO of Invest Telangana.

Given Mr. Reddy’s previous experience in the Central Government, his stint as Secretary to the Chief Minister for the MAUD Department, the appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the urban mobility sector in Hyderabad. Recently, the State and the Center jointly appointed SBI Capital Markets (SBICAPS) to evaluate the takeover of Hyderabad Metro Phase-1 from L&T and structure the financing for Phase-2

Moreover, Metro expansion and Invest Telangana are key priority projects for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. It is learned that the CM has entrusted Mr. Ajith Reddy with expediting both the initiatives in the second half of his five-year tenure. The two had previously worked together while the CM represented the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency and Ajith Reddy served as the CEO of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board.
