
The ruling DMK is likely to sign a seat-sharing agreement with its alliance partner VCK on Dnes, for the elections held on April 23, Transport and Power Minister SS Sivasankar said.
The DMK, which leads the Secular Progressive Alliance, finalized the pact with the CPI(M) by allocating five seats to it yesterday, March 23, and is expected to sign the pact with the VCK today, a senior DMK leader added.
The DMK has already started its campaign for the assembly elections, he told reporters late on March 23.
“DMK has already started campaigning. Deputy Chief Minister (Udhayanidhi Stalin) is already campaigning. We will win the 2026 elections,” he said.
