
Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana continued her fine run in the shortest format to retain the No.2 spot in the latest ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings on Tuesday, while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur made remarkable gains to climb to No.14.
Mandhana remains India’s highest-ranked batsman in T20Is, with Shafali Verma holding firm at sixth in the top 10. Jemimah Rodrigues also remained in contention just outside the elite list, maintaining joint 11th.

Among the female bowlers, Deepti Sharma continued her steady rise and moved up one place to third in the rankings. The all-around competitor outside of the turns also held onto the No. 3 spot in the all-around category. Indian pacer Renuka Singh Thakur retained her sixth position, while Arundhati Reddy slipped just outside the top 10 to 11th.
The latest update also saw some global moves. Australian opener Georgia Voll broke into the top 10 of the batting rankings for the first time. New Zealand star Sophie Devine climbed to No.18 after scoring two consecutive half-centuries against South Africa.
The historic milestone was achieved by Rwandan teenage sensation Fanny Utagushimaninde, who entered the rankings at number 66 after becoming the first woman to score a century on T20I debut and the youngest player in men’s and women’s cricket to do so.
South Africa’s rising star Annerie Dercksen, the 2024 ICC Emerging Player of the Year, has jumped 18 places to 55th after an unbeaten 55 in New Zealand. Australian veteran Ellyse Perry (up to 20th) and West Indies’ Qiana Joseph (up to 33rd) were among the other notable winners, alongside Maddy Green and Stafanie Taylor.
In the bowling rankings, South African spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba entered the top 10, rising to ninth place after an impressive streak. Australia’s Georgia Wareham also made progress, moving up to 12th place.
New Zealand paceman Jess Kerr reached a career-best 15th after a strong performance against South Africa, while Ayabonga Khaka and Kim Garth also made significant gains in the latest update.
