Following a raid in Old Malakpet on March 22, the Chaderghat police arrested four persons for illegally obtaining and selling injections of Mephentermine Sulphate, a Schedule H drug.
The accused have been identified as Shaik Sameer, 23, Waseem Khan, 22, Mazhar and Asim, residents of Delhi. Police said Sameer and Waseem were nabbed at the spot in an alleged escape attempt, while the other two were identified during investigation.
According to the police, following a tip-off about the illegal sale of injections, senior police officers raided Chaderghat. During the search, the police seized 20 vials of mephentermine sulfate injections, three mobile phones and a two-wheeler with registration number TG 11 B 2798.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused procured the injections through a courier from Asim in Delhi and sold them illegally in the city along with Mazhar.
