The first phase of randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and VVPAT (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) units for nine council constituencies in Cuddalore district will be conducted on Monday (March 23, 2026) for the April 23 council elections.
According to a press release, the exercise will be conducted through computer randomization using the Election Commission of India website under the supervision of the District Election Officer. The process will take place at 10:30 am at the Cuddalore Collectorate in the presence of representatives of national and state political parties.
After randomization, the machines will be sent to security rooms in all assembly constituencies on March 24.
