
The state government has given administrative sanction of ₹ 1,011.65 crore for construction of 11 integrated school complexes, upgradation of 17 existing schools and construction of additional classrooms. This follows from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s proposal for education, which was announced in the budget on Friday.
Of the total amount, 30% will be allocated by the state government or through CSR funds and 70% will be funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, GO said.
All the works are designated in Hyderabad Central Urban Region Economy (CURE) areas comprising Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy and Rangareddy districts.
₹496.75 crore has been allocated for the construction of 11 buildings of the integrated school complex for classes from pre-primary to class 12. ₹364.60 crore has been allocated for upgrading 17 schools, including classrooms and infrastructure for pre-primary and classes 11 and 12.
The construction of 501 additional classrooms in the existing 164 government schools is budgeted at ₹ 150.30 crore, ₹ 30 lakh per classroom.
