Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will on Sunday (March 22, 2026) inaugurate an oil palm processing plant at Narmeta village in Nangunuru mandal of Siddipet district while crediting the first installment of Rythu Bharosa assistance to farmers.
The Chief Minister will release ₹3,590 crore as the first installment directly into the bank accounts of 70 million farmers who own up to one acre of land. The payout will coincide with the grand opening of the Narmetta Oil Palm Processing Plant at 4pm on Sunday (March 22, 2026).
The second installment of ₹2,650 crore will be released on April 9 or 10, while the balance of ₹2,860 crore will be credited as the third installment by the end of April, completing the phased disbursement under the scheme.
On the occasion, Mr. Reddy will also unveil a memorial pylon and lay the foundation stone for Telangana’s first oil refinery.
Ahead of the inauguration, ‘Rythu Mahotsavams’ were held on the factory premises for the past three days, attracting a large number of farmers from various areas. Almost 150 stands were set up, showcasing agricultural mechanization, best practices in oil palm cultivation and modern farming techniques. Agricultural scientists and experts guide farmers to improve productivity in agriculture and allied sectors such as horticulture, dairying and fisheries.
Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkatswamy are closely monitoring the arrangements regarding the Chief Minister’s visit. They directed officials to make detailed arrangements for the visit.
