
The Indian team is all set to return to Belfast after 19 years as the BCCI has released the schedule for the T20I series against Ireland on Saturday, March 21. India to take on Ireland in two T20Is ahead of their white-ball tour of England in July, with both matches taking place in Belfast.
It will be India’s first T20I assignment after winning the T20 World Cup in 2026 and will come right after the conclusion of the ODI series against Afghanistan. India are set to face Afghanistan in a one-off Test followed by a three-match ODI series after the conclusion of IPL 2026. The ODI leg ends on June 20 before India begin their tour against England with the first T20I on July 1.

“Team India (Senior Men) will travel to Ireland for a two-match T20I series in June 2026. They have toured Ireland three times in the last eight years (2018, 2022 and 2023). This tour will mark India’s return to Belfast for the first time since 2007,” the statement said.

IRELAND’S BUSY INTERNATIONAL SCHEDULE
Ireland’s men’s team are set for a busy summer at home, headlined by a landmark Test against New Zealand. This will be followed by a marquee series against India with two matches now scheduled for late June. In August, Afghanistan will tour Ireland for a five-match ODI series.
In addition to the home games, Ireland will travel to Nepal to work with the white ball as part of a newly formed five-year strategic partnership. Their overseas schedule also includes a tour of the United Arab Emirates before culminating in a historic multi-format visit to Pakistan in early 2027 – their first ever tour of the country.
