Miyapur police have arrested a serial house burglary suspect

The Miyapur police have arrested a habitual offender involved in many cases of housebreaking and theft across Cyberabad and Malkajgiri police stations.

The accused, identified as Bhukya Mahesh alias Babu, was arrested following an investigation into a house burglary complaint in Miyapur.

According to the police, Mahesh has an extensive criminal record and is involved in at least 12 cases registered in police stations including SR Nagar, Balanagar, Miyapur, KPHB, Kukatpally and Keesara. The cases include housebreaking, theft and other crimes.

Police said the accused targeted locked houses during the night and allegedly broke the locks to commit thefts while the residents were either away or asleep.

No stolen property was recovered from the accused at the time of his arrest.

Police advised residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement or activity to the nearest police station or to 100. Further investigations are ongoing.
