Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated around the world on different days and is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon, which is supposed to mark the beginning of the month of Shawwal in the lunar Islamic calendar.
This year the month of Ramzan had 30 days while last year it was 29 days.
According to the Islamic calendar, a month has 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the moon.
During the month of Ramzan, people do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset.
