The celebration, which marks the end of the Ramzan fast, reflects self-discipline and compassion and enriches society, Mr. Arlekar said in a report. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan also greeted the people of Id. Mr. Vijayan expressed hope that the festival would help spread the light of goodwill and love in the country.
