Neymar posted a 20-minute documentary on his YouTube channel that showed him capturing the moments before the team announcement. Once Ancelotti’s press conference was over, Neymar jokingly asked what about his place.
The Brazilian forward then said that he will continue to support the national team and continue to work on himself and be ready for his chance.
“And what about me, Ancelotti? The list is out and I’m not called up. Of course I’m sad, but as I said, I will always support the national team. Everything is clear, I have to keep working to be ready if the opportunity arises,” responded Neymar.
‘THIS IS MY LAST WORLD CUP’
Neymar said on his YouTube channel that 2026 will be his last World Cup and wants to get to Brazilian team for the last dance.
“Of course, it’s my last World Cup. I don’t know if it’s my last year with the national team, but it’s coming to an end and we have to know,” Neymar said on his YouTube channel.
“I’ve always said to my friends and family, enjoy it as much as you can. Watch the games because it’s going to end.
“I can help the national team. I can help in any way. I know what qualities I have and what strength I have on the field.”
“Obviously I want to go to the World Cup. Obviously it’s pushing me. Last week my name was said a zillion times in the press and everywhere.
“I will do everything to play football. It doesn’t matter if it’s for Santos or the Brazilian national team. I want to play well every game.”
Teams are expected to announce their World Cup squads by April or May before the tournament kicks off in June this year in the US, Mexico and Canada.
