Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh Narayanan on Wednesday (March 18) expressed concern in the Telangana Legislative Assembly over the lack of adequate community infrastructure in his constituency, highlighting the difficulties faced by poor and middle-class residents in organizing social and family events.
During question hour, the MLA pointed out that a large portion of Cantonment’s population lives in small settlements and is heavily dependent on available public spaces for holding events like birthdays, weddings and other community gatherings. In the absence of sufficient community halls, residents are often forced to rely on private community halls, leading to an increased financial burden.
