A 44-year-old female doctor working in the emergency department of Ooty Government College and Hospital was arrested by the Ooty All Women Police on March 16, 2026 (Monday) for allegedly sexually assaulting a college student.
The accused, identified as Om Prakash, is said to have lured the college student to a lodge in Udhagamandalam on the pretext of helping her with cleaning. He allegedly sexually assaulted her there. The operators of the lodge, on hearing the commotion, reportedly informed the police, who rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation.
