Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta paid tribute to Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu at the AP Police Headquarters in Mangalagiri on Monday (March 16, 2026).
The DGP garlanded the portrait on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of the leader and remembered his sacrifice for achieving an independent Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta said that Potti Sriramulu, who observed a fast unto death for 58 days for a separate state, will forever be in the hearts of the people.
Police Commissioner SV Rajashekar Babu paid floral tributes to Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu at Vijayawada Police Commissionerate.
In Machilipatnam, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) VV Naidu along with others decorated the portrait of Potti Sriramulu at the Krishna district police headquarters.
