Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has sent a stern message to Congress MLAs on attendance at Assembly sessions calling for discipline and a coordinated strategy in the Assembly to counter opposition criticism.
Addressing the legislators in the assembly hall, the chief minister reportedly expressed displeasure over the casual attitude of some members and the absence of several MLAs from key meetings. He made it clear that participation is mandatory.
“Don’t talk about unnecessary issues. Come prepared to the House,” the MLA said, stressing that debates in the Assembly must be focused and effective. He warned members not to engage in informal talks during the meeting and stressed that the party must respond to issues raised by the opposition in a unified and sharp manner.
Mr. Reddy directed the legislators to articulate the government’s narrative and be ready with facts and arguments to counter the opposition on key issues. “We have to give strong opposition to every issue in the House,” he said.
The chief minister also advised the ministers to allocate sufficient time for mutual legal assistance and to respond quickly to their concerns. “Ministers should give time to MLAs and respond to issues. I will also make myself available,” he assured, hinting that coordination between the government and party legislators would be strengthened.
The CM emphasized the importance of the upcoming budget and said it would be innovative and people-centric. He stated that the priority will be healthcare and education.
