Residents of Secunderabad Cantonment have raised several long-standing civic concerns, including the mortgage system for building permits, excessive property transfer tax (TPT) charges and the continued postponement of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) elections.
These matters have been formally brought to the attention of the Chief Director, Defense Estates, Southern Command, Pune. In a statement on Monday, March 16, Telukunta Satish Gupta, a social activist based in Secunderabad Cantonment, said the problems were affecting residents and property owners and required immediate intervention by the relevant authorities.
